Howell Co. tax statements in the mail

WEST PLAINS, Mo. — Howell County residents should be receiving their real estate and personal property tax statements in the mail soon if they haven’t already.

Howell County Collector Dennis Von Allmen says 40,000 statements were sent out on Friday, November 1. An estimated total of $22 million will be collected, with nearly $17 million being distributed to the school districts within Howell County.

People are able to pay in person, by mailing checks to the Howell County Collector’s Office at 35 Court Square in West Plains, by phone, through the after-hours drop box outside of the Howell County Office Building, or online at www.howellcountycollector.com.

If you live in Willow Springs or Mountain View, you can pay at the US Bank location or West Plains Bank and Trust Liberty Branch, respectively, through December 31.

Taxes paid after December 31 will be subject to penalties.
