Howell County COVID-19 update

The Howell County Health Department reports an additional 23 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 567. Currently, there are 158 known active cases in Howell County.

Of these 158, six are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.  Of the new cases; 19 reside in West Plains, 2 live in Willow Springs, 1 lives in Mtn. View and 1 lives in Caulfield. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. Sixteen of the 23 new cases are considered community spread, or the source of the infection is unknown. Seven cases have been linked to known cases.
