The Howell County Health Department reports that an additional 39 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county (totals include Saturday, Sunday and Monday). This brings the year to date total number of cases to 2,143.
Currently, there are 134 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 134, seven are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the new cases; 24 reside in West Plains, six lives in Mountain View, three live in Willow Springs, two live in Peace Valley, one lives in Pomona, one lives in Pottersville, one lives in Moody, and one lives in Caulfield.
Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. Of the new 39 cases: 20 are considered community spread, where the source of the infection is unknown, and 19 cases have been linked to known cases.
