Howell County reports 15 new COVID-19 cases

The Howell County Health Department is reporting an additional 15 cases of COVID-19 identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 798.

Currently, there are 157 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 157, fifteen are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the new cases; nine reside in West Plains, one lives in Mountain View, three live in Willow Springs and two live in Peace Valley.

Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. Of the new 15 cases; eight cases are considered community spread, where the source of the infection is unknown, and seven cases have been linked to known cases.
