Howell County reports 29 new COVID-19 cases

The Howell County Health Department reports  an additional twenty-nine (29) cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to three hundred and thirty-two (332). Currently, there are ninety-seven (97) known active cases in Howell County.

Of these ninety-seven cases, seven individuals are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.  Seventeen of the new cases reside in West Plains, six live in Willow Springs, five in Pomona, and one lives in Mtn. View.

Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. Thirteen (13) of the cases are considered community spread, or the source of the infection is unknown. Sixteen (16) of the cases have been linked to known cases.
