Howell County reports 63 new COVID-19 cases

The Howell County Health Department reports an additional 63 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year-to-date total number of cases to 1,457.

Currently, there are 248 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 248, 11 residents are currently hospitalized.  Of the new cases; 39 reside in West Plains, 14 live in Willow Springs, seven live in Mountain View, two live in Pomona and one lives in Caulfield. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine.

Of the new 63 cases; 22 cases are considered community spread, where the source of the infection is unknown, and 41 cases have been linked to known cases.
