West Plains, MO. – The Howell County Sheriff’s Department has received two new K-9 units in recent days, known as K-9 Roman, and K-9 Spice.
Pictured recently in a social media post, you can see K-9 Roman with his handler, Deputy First Class Brandon Meacham. Both are in the middle of receiving an 8 week training course at the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Canine Training Program in Columbia, MO.
This course covers all aspects of a Narcotics Detection/Patrol K9 Unit, and incorporates classroom instruction and extensive hands-on dog training.
K-9 Spice has been assigned to Deputy First Class Robert Malone, and both are also currently receiving training.
