Howell County Sheriff’s Office Honors Those That Serve

Over the Holiday weekend, the Howell County Sherriff’s Office held their annual awards ceremony for 2021, where they dedicated various awards to staff of all types who have achieved landmark levels of service to their community and to the force.
 
 
The awards handed out were for various types of jobs and service to the Sheriffs Office, giving appreciation to not only the active duty officers, but to also those who have retired or work as office staff. Included in the recognitions of service were awards for Sheriff Mike Shannon, Major Mike Coldiron, Corporal Neil Sletten, and Deputy H.D. Reid who have or had served for over 30 years, and Sergeant Bradshaw received the Award of Purple Heart, which is given to anyone who serves in any capacity in or with the office, who has been wounded or killed in the line of duty and service.
