West Plains, MO. – Howell Oregon Electric Cooperative announced yesterday evening that after a long few days of work, membership power has been fully restored.
This is of course due to the damaging storms and tornadoes that were present in the Ozarks over the Memorial Day Weekend. According to the release from Howell-Oregon, the damage that was sustained across their network was mostly focused on the north and eastern parts of the service area.
The peak number of outages during the weekend totaled up to 1,471, even after a full day of working due to the storms earlier that day. Work crews from other agencies even helped during the past few days, working on over 40 broken poles throughout the area.
Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative wishes to thank everyone for their patience while power was being restored, and the outside electric crews and emergency services who helped and coordinated efforts with the public.
