Are you age 16 to 18 and still in High School? Have you thought about a career in the Fire Service? Do you have reliable transportation, insurance on your vehicle and a valid Missouri driver’s license? Howell Rural Fire Department is starting a new Junior program for this year.
You would have to live in the City Limits of West Plains or within our Fire district. If you are interested in applying, please stop by their fire station on K Hwy behind the ambulance shed for an application. If you have any questions about your address being in our coverage area, please send the department a message.
Your parent or parents would be asked to come to your interview if you apply and we set up an interview for you. We currently have spots open. This program does require you to attend training drills from one to three times a month as well as some of the incident calls they have. Please message or stop by the fire station if you have any questions. Interviews will be set up soon and spots are limited.
