The Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted by deploying spike strips, and the driver changed course into a private drive. After attempting to drive through a creek bed and a patch of woods, the vehicle came to a forced stop due to mechanical failings.

Odie Belt and Jerica Finley were taken into custody following the stop. The driver, Belt, has pending charges on Resisting Arrest and Possession of a Controlled Substance. His passenger, Finley, was arrested on a warrant for Failure to Appear on an older charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
