Plato, MO. – A 16-year-old teen from Huggins, MO, has become injured after a tree collision on Friday evening, October 7th.
The 16-year-old female was driving a 2003 Audi A4 on Highway AH, roughly one mile West of Plato. According to the report from the Highway Patrol, the driver was distracted by the shifting of the vehicle into 5th gear, and jerked the vehicle off the left side of the roadway. It was then she struck a tree and totaled the vehicle.

The teen driver was wearing her safety device and only suffered minor injuries, for which she was taken to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon for treatment.
This accident was investigated by Trooper T.L. Sullivan of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
