Winona, Mo. – Law enforcement agencies are investigating the discovery of a body in a ditch near Winona.
On January 12th, 2022, shortly before 11 a.m., mowing crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) found a body on U.S. 60 west of Winona.
The Shannon County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol are working together to investigate the location. The identity and condition of the body have not been released.
(January 27th, 2022) The Missouri State Highway Patrol has given additional information, and has requested that anyone with information on the individual to come forward to help them identify the body. Pictures of identifying tattoos have also been released.
