Hwy 160 slowed in Truck v. Tractor Crash west of Caulfield on Wednesday

West Plains, Mo. – Traffic was slowed Wednesday afternoon after a truck collided with a tractor on US 160 west of Caulfield, Missouri. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident happened west of the Highway H intersection near a sharp turn at 12:59 p.m. in the westbound lane.

A 1987 Chevy Pickup driven by Justin Hawkins, age 34 of West Plains, failed to yield to a slower 2012 Kubota Tractor, driven by Gary Williams, age 67 of Caulfield. The impact caused the tractor to overturn. The truck suffered moderate damage and the tractor was totaled.

Williams was the only injury in the crash, suffering minor injuries. He was taken by private vehicle to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment.

The roadway was blocked for a time while crews removed the crashed tractor.
