Flores had asked the victim if she would like to hang out with him, to which she replied, “Sure.” The victim stated she got into his car because she couldn’t get into her house due to the doors being locked. Flores then took the victim to his house where he handed the victim a bottle. The victim said, ” I was given a bottle of water then I became very dizzy.” After being dizzy, the victim claimed to have fallen asleep on the couch and woke up in Flores’s bed mostly undressed. The victim told the officers that this occurred multiple times in three days. She also claimed that Flores had repeatedly hidden her from his family every time the family came home.

With a translator present, the officers interviewed Flores. During this interview, he stated that he was 17 years old but did not know when his birthday was. When asked how long he had been in the U.S. he stated, “1 year.” Flores refused to talk about the victim. Before detaining Flores, the officers fingerprinted Flores and they observed him become visibly sweaty and shaky.

Silmer Flores was detained and charged with Rape- 2nd degree, Child Kidnapping, as well as getting a warrant for detainment from The U.S. Department of Homeland Security for being an illegal alien. He is currently being held on a $100,000 surety-only bond.
