A 37‑year‑old Illinois man was hurt in an ATV crash Sunday evening on Forest Service Road 2220, eight miles southeast of Bunker.
Troopers say the 2017 Polaris Ranger XP900 began to skid and crossed the center of the roadway around 5:30 p.m. The driver overcorrected, sending the vehicle off the right side of the road where it struck an embankment and overturned.

The man, from Sherman, Illinois, was not wearing a safety device. He sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
