MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. — Authorities say two elderly individuals who were found dead in the Mountain Home area last week have been identified and the cause of death has been determined.
Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel says a citizen called the police department and reported one of the bodies behind a residence just after 2 pm Tuesday, November 5. Officers responded to the scene and found 80-year-old Larry Skeen and his 75-year-old wife, Sharon.
Information found on a note attached to the back door of the residence directed the Mountain Home Police Department to additional information inside their home. Police found packages containing delivery instructions and their final wishes, including one for their attorney.
It is believed one or both were experiencing health issues and died from gunshot wounds. The department says they believe Larry shot Sharon before killing himself.
