Intoxicated Driver Crashes Vehicle, Seriously Injures West Plains Occupant

Thayer, MO. – A West Plains resident that was the occupant of a Toyota Corolla, was seriously injured after the driver got into an intoxicated crash.

According to the report from Master Sergeant S.L. Nelson, Steven Holt, 58 of West Plains MO, was the driver in this crash. Holt lost control of his vehicle while driving on gravel, skidded off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

Donna Ledbetter, a 49-year-old passenger, was seriously injured as a result and had to be flown to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.

Holt was charged after the accident with Felony Driving While Intoxicated, and Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway. He has since been released from the Oregon County Jail.
