Eminence, Mo. – Drinking and driving doesn’t end well as a Hartshorn woman found out Saturday evening following a one-vehicle crash on County Road 325, five miles north of Summersville.
At 6:52 p.m. Saturday night, Kalene Hawkins, 28, was westbound in a 2012 Dodge Avenger when she traveled off the roadway and struck a tree. She had not been wearing a safety device and suffered moderate. Troopers with Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G charged Hawkins with Driving while Intoxicated. She was then released to be transported by ambulance to Cox South in Springfield for medical treatment.
