Grovespring, MO – A Grovespring man was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Monday evening. The accident occurred 10 miles east of Grovespring on Highway TT at 6:41 p.m. September 27. A 2005 Buick Century driven by Stephen McVey, 65 of Grovespring, was attempting to elude officers when he traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking two fences and a pair of trees. The vehicle was totaled.
Stephen McVey was charged with Misdemeanor Driving While Intoxicated, Careless and Imprudent Driving, and No Seat Belt. He was released for medical treatment and taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon.
