A young Ironton woman was seriously injured in a single‑vehicle crash Friday evening in Reynolds County.
The Highway Patrol says the 18‑year‑old was driving a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta eastbound on Highway K, four miles west of Annapolis, when the car went off the left side of the road, struck a tree and overturned.

The vehicle was totaled. She was flown by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
