The Izard County Chili & Charity Showdown, presented by Aflac, is set to take over Melbourne Town Square on Saturday, October 4, 2025, with a day full of food, fun, and giving back. The cookoff begins at 2 p.m.
Local chili chefs are invited to compete in the Chili Cook-Off Contest, where prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes, along with a coveted People’s Choice Award. Attendees will get the chance to sample and vote for their favorite recipes, making it a true community event.
In addition to the cookoff, the event will feature:
Raffles and giveaways with exciting prizes throughout the day.
Vendors, artists, and crafters showcasing their work.
Plenty of food and drinks to enjoy.
Activities designed for fun for the whole family.
Best of all, the Showdown has a purpose beyond the chili. All proceeds will benefit local charities in Izard County, ensuring that the event gives back to the community in meaningful ways.
