Cherokee Village, AR. – The Izard County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man from Black Rock, AR. for the solification of a minor, according to a recent arrest announcement. The official statement can be read below.
Caleb Elgin Jackson, 25 of Black Rock, was arrested on July 25 on a warrant issued by the Izard County Circuit Court. He is charged with one count of sexual solicitation of a minor, a Class B felony, and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class A misdemeanor.
The charges stem from an investigation that began on July 11 after a juvenile reported that Jackson had provided the juvenile with alcohol the previous evening. During the investigation, investigators learned that Jackson allegedly implied he wanted to engage in sexual activity with the juvenile and sent messages that were sexual in nature.
On July 22, investigators interviewed Jackson after advising him of his Miranda rights. During the interview, Jackson admitted to providing alcohol to the juvenile and attempting to solicit the juvenile for sexual activity.
Jackson also told investigators that he was sexually attracted to young females and stated that he had possessed child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on his phone.
The investigation remains active. Additional charges may be filed as investigators continue to review the evidence.
As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
