West Plains, MO. – On Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 9:00 AM, Officer Jesse Martin was sworn in as newly commissioned officer of the West Plains Police Department by City Clerk, Allison Skinner witnessed by all the City Directors.
Officer Martin was hired by the City of West Plains on November 8, 2021. Officer Martin attended the sixteen-week Police Academy held at the Law Enforcement Training Institute in Columbia, Missouri, graduating on Friday, December 16, 2022. Jesse is from West Plains and wanted to serve the community as a Police Officer.
Martin will now begin his Field Training Officer Program working with one of the department’s Field Training Officers utilizing the skills he learned in the academy during the next ten to twelve weeks.
The West Plains Police Department welcomes Officer Jesse Martin to the department and have high expectations from his service.
