KCBS Barbecue Tournament Prizes Announced

West Plains, MO. – We are now two weeks away from the first-ever West Plains Kansas City Barbecue Festival organized by Give Local First, our non-profit side of Ozark Marketing.

With the festival taking place May 17th and 18th, the prizes are now officially being announced. For the official Kansas City Barbecue Society cooking contest, a set of hand-crafted black walnut cutting boards have been created by Eric and Amy Jackson with Tabor Creek Customs, with the size and intricacy of the board increasing with the association of a higher rank at the end. Also created were two knives, made by local craftsman Bobby Walker with Devil’s Backbone knives, who was a champion of the nationally known television program: Forged in Fire. Lastly, all those who achieve the ranks of 1st through 5th, and the Grand and Reserve Grand Champions will be receiving a cash prize.
