Oakland, AR. – Law enforcement individuals with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office are pursuing an investigation into the death of a man who died in a fire over the weekend.
This fire took place around Arkansas State Highway SH 202 in the Oakland, AR. area. The fire had spread across several buildings and acres in the area on Saturday, and officials returned Sunday and located the body of a man who had died in the fire.

The body has been transported to the office of the Arkansas State Medical Examiner for an autopsy, and investigation is currently ongoing as to the origin of the fire, as well as what caused the death of the man who was found.
