Licking, MO. – A man from Licking has been arrested on multiple felony charges after he struck an ex-girlfriend several times with a tomahawk during a domestic dispute.
According to the probable cause statement, this incident took place on May 12th, the report and subsequent investigation taking place the day after. The victim told authorities she had been struck several times by an ex-boyfriend, Brandon James Lee Giller of Licking, MO. The victim had indications of cuts, bruising, and knots on both legs and the back of the head.
Witness testimony stated that Giller had used the handle of a tomahawk to strike the victim, and video evidence showed Giller holding the weapon and swinging it at a nearby tote during an argument before the video ended.
When asked about the event, Giller stated he didn’t remember striking the victim, as he was under the influence of meth at the time.
Giller is facing charges of felony 2nd Degree Domestic Assault, felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and felony Armed Criminal Action.
