From State Representative Lisa Durnell:
To the Wonderful Constituents of District 154,
Summer is coming to an end – the primary election is over, family vacations have ceased, kids are back in school,
‘Friday night lights’ are gearing up, and walnut leaves are coming down. We are approaching my favorite time of the
year.
With the changing of the season comes the finalization of legislation that I plan to pre-file in December, subject to a
successful outcome in the general election. In addition to re-filing some of my bills from previous sessions, I am
currently researching a wide range of other topics that I have discussed with constituents in the interim.
Looking at the bigger picture and legislative priorities outlined in the GOP platform, leadership has indicated that we
can expect to debate legislation addressing educational options and empowering parents, tax reform, pro-life policies,
Second Amendment rights, support for law enforcement, expansion of rural healthcare, and support for small
businesses.
Missourians should also expect a different look in the Senate during the 2027–2028 legislative session, with many
new faces entering the chamber. It remains to be seen how this will affect the dynamic and flow of the legislative
process, but I anticipate it could be a very interesting year in the Capitol.
My office has also been extremely busy assisting constituents throughout the summer. As always, if you are
experiencing a problem with a state agency or department and need our assistance, please reach out to us. We are
here to help.
It is an honor to serve the citizens of the 154th district.
Lisa Durnell
State Representative District 154
