Local Man Arrested After He Was Found In Possession Of Child Pornography Of An 11-Year-Old Child

Douglas County, MO. – A man was arrested on August 9, 2024, in a joint investigation between Wright and Douglas Counties after he was found in possession of child pornography. 61-year-old Timothy Brill was charged with attempted statutory rape, enticement or attempted enticement of a child, possession of child pornography, tampering with physical evidence, furnishing pornographic material, or attempting to furnish a minor.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by the Wright County Sheriff’s Department, which said that they had apprehended a male, who had been followed from his residence in Douglas County to his sister’s house in Wright County by a concerned citizen. The citizen had been conducting a citizen investigation into pedophiles trying to meet underage children for sex. The Wright County Sheriff’s Department spoke to the responding deputy and provided evidence of an arrangement Brill had made with an 11-year-old girl to meet in Strafford for sex.

During an interview with Brill, he stated that he had been speaking to three separate underage girls that he had met online. He also said that he had made plans with an 11-year-old to meet at a motel the previous day. He wanted the police to note that he did not plan on going to any of these meetings that he was setting up with the underaged girls. He had nude pictures sent from all three children and nude images of himself that he had sent to them.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department deputy obtained a search warrant for Brill’s possessions and found child pornography in his trash folder of children that Brill said were ages 11, 15, and 16. At Brill’s residence, an additional 13 items of evidence were found including several firearms, that Brill was not allowed to legally have due to him being a convicted felon. Brill is now being held at the Douglas County Jail and is being held without bond.
