JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — A total of 31 new troopers have graduated from the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, including two from the local area.
Lucas Combs of Willow Springs has been assigned to Troop E, Zone 8, covering Pemiscot/New Madrid Counties, while Austin Leroux of Doniphan has been assigned to Troop C, Zone 3 covering South St. Louis County. New troopers will report to duty in their assigned troops on January 6, 2020. The 108th Recruit Class reported to the Academy on July 1, 2019, for 25-weeks of training.
The graduation ceremony took place Friday, December 20 in the Law Enforcement Academy gymnasium in Jefferson City. Mike Kelly, the voice of Missouri Tiger sports, provided the keynote address during the graduation ceremony.
