Long-Time Douglas County Stalker Pleads Guilty in Phelps County Court

Ava, MO. – On September 9th of 2022, an individual of Douglas County plead guilty to a felony charge.

John Medlock was arrested based on a history of terroristic threatening, stalking, and harassment of public workers in and around the city of Ava, MO. His official arrest happened on May 26th earlier this year, based on his stalking of a police officer and his family.

Medlock plead guilty to charges as part of a deal to have charges of resisting arrest and armed criminal action dropped, and was sentenced to 3 years of felony probation with several conditions attached, including being unable to enter the Douglas County Courthouse, and no contacting the subjects of his stalking.
