Mail Carrier Killed in Texas County After Tree Crushed Vehicle

Houston, Mo. – A mail carrier near Roby was killed in a tragic accident Tuesday afternoon. Elizabeth Keeping-Hudson, 41 of Edgar Springs, was delivering mail in a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer on Pump Station Road, six miles north of Roby, when a tree fell on the roof of the vehicle.

Keeping-Hudson was pronounced dead at the scene by Texas County Coroner Marie Lasater at 2:45 p.m. The mail contained in the Trailblazer was secured.

This marks the third roadway fatality for Highway Patrol Troop G for 2022.
