Marion County, AR. – A man was recently arrested after he repeatedly rammed another vehicle with his multiple times. 50-year-old James Ellington was charged with aggravated assault, misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident, disorderly conduct, reckless driving, and failure to report an accident. He is also facing a penalty for being a habitual offender with four prior felony convictions.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a dispute where they found two vehicles, with one showing significant damage to the rear and side. The victim told a deputy he had dropped a female off at the residence and the male, Ellington, had then got into his vehicle and continued to ram the victim’s vehicle with his own. During an interview with the female, she told deputies that she and Ellington had a child and when she came home with another man, he became upset which caused him to act out.
Ellington told the deputies that it was an accident and that his “floor mats must have gotten stuck on top of the gas pedal.”
