Cherokee Village, AR. – On May 29, 2024, a man was arrested after he ran over a woman and left her with severe injuries.
The Cherokee Village Police Department was dispatched to a residence after receiving a call concerning a female who had been run over by a vehicle and seriously injured. When they arrived on the scene, the caller and witness told the officer that a red truck had pulled into the driveway and those in the vehicle exited the truck. When the witness opened the garage door, she identified the male as 25-year-old Justin Hale, when he jumped into the truck and sped away. When leaving, he ran over a female. They found the female seriously injured and she was airlifted to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock for treatment.
They later found Hale’s vehicle abandoned at a residence on Nine Mile Ridge Road. He was eventually found and arrested at the Ponderosa Motel around 11 p.m. and taken to the Sharp County Detention Center.
He is currently being charged with Aggravated Assault, First Degree Battery, and leaving the scene of an accident with injury.
