Man Arrested for Rolla Pharmacy Shooting Identified

Rolla, MO. – Yesterday on June 19th, a man was arrested after a high-speed chase. This happened after the man had shot someone in a pharmacy theft incident. According to a post from the Rolla Police Department, the suspect has been officially identified.

In the aftermath of this event, the victim, a 52-year-old Rolla resident, was transported to Phelps Health for what is described as “serious, but non-life-threatening injuries”.

Officially identified and announced is the criminal’s identity, which is Justin Wonsewitz, a 41-year-old Rolla resident. His arrest charges include 1st Degree Assault, 1st Degree Robbery, and Armed Criminal Action. Additional charges are stated to be considered at a later date.

In his attempt to flee, Wonsewitz is also reported to have run into a police vehicle before being stopped via a pit maneuver from law enforcement.
