Black, MO – Two residents of Black, Missouri were injured in a UTV accident on Route J, one mile east of Oates in Reynolds County.
At 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, a westbound 2020 Kawasaki KRX 1000 driven by Paul Blackman, 56 of Black, traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturning several times. Blackman and his passenger, Dena Tompkins, 62 of Black, suffered moderate injuries in the crash. Both had been wearing safety devices.
Blackman was arrested for Felony DWI including Physical injury and Careless and Imprudent Driving Involving a Motor Vehicle Crash. He was taken by Highway Patrol to Iron County Hospital and released for treatment. Tompkins was taken from the scene by ambulance to Iron County Hospital.
