Man Charged with Arson and Harassment in Ozark County

A man is facing felony charges after deputies say he poured gasoline around a fifth‑wheel camper and set it on fire during a domestic disturbance in Gainesville. According to the probable cause statement, Alan Anderberg is charged with first‑degree arson and first‑degree harassment and is being held with no bond.

Deputies say the victim reported Anderberg threatened to burn the camper, then ignited fuel in two locations near the entryway while she was inside. She extinguished the fire before deputies arrived. Sherman noted melted camper skirting, burned exterior carpeting, and a strong odor of gasoline at the scene. Anderberg was later found passed out in nearby woods, matching the description given by the victim. A lighter was found next to him.
