Licking, MO. – A man from Licking has been arrested and has been charged with 3rd Degree Assault after attempting to strangle someone while recovering from a possible overdose event.
The Texas County Sheriff’s Office was called on a report of a possible overdose on Highway 32 in the Licking area. Law enforcement made contact with a woman who had stated she had gotten into an argument with another resident, Jon Bueker 29. She stated she then left the house and came back to find him sick and vomiting.
The Texas County Deputy on-scene confirmed Bueker vomiting, and called for an ambulance. The officer then left the two alone while investigating the living room, and returned to find Bueker with his hands around the womans neck, and one of the ambulance workers attempting to free her.
Bueker was arrested on a Felony 3rd Degree Assault charge, with a bond set at $250,000.
