LICKING, Mo. — A man was seriously injured Thursday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle in Texas County.
A report from the Highway Patrol states 75-year-old Robert Malikowski of Beulah was injured when attempting to cross Highway P south of Licking. The vehicle that hit him, a Silverado pickup truck, was slowed on the highway due to machinery near the roadway.

Malikowski was taken from the scene of the 5:30 pm accident to Cox South hospital in Springfield by helicopter.
