Man Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Motorcycle Crash

Texas County, MO. – A man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash that resulted in his ejection.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the accident occurred on September 11, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., at the intersection of Highway 17 and Highway AW. Lance Asher, 61, of Plato, Missouri, was driving a 2016 Ford F150 northbound when he made a left turn into the path of a 1997 Harley Davidson Fatboy. The Harley slid onto its left side, ejecting 62-year-old Vincent Carlton, also of Plato, Missouri. Carlton sustained serious injuries during the ejection and was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.

The crash was investigated by Trooper J.L. Sentman of Troop G.
