Man wanted in Arkansas on drug charges arrested in Oregon County

On Thursday December 16, while following up on information gathered by the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force Officers, Officers from the Task Force with the Thayer Police Department, and the Oregon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on H Highway in Myrtle.

At this residence, Samuel R. Noakes, 39 of Myrtle, was taken into custody without incident.  Noakes is charged in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Arkansas with Conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl (21 USC 846). He was transferred to federal custody on Friday, December 17, 2021.

Noakes is one of seven men who were arrested on Thursday in southcentral Missouri and northern Arkansas by efforts of local law enforcement and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
