Manhunt in Caulfield for stolen vehicle suspect

West Plains, MO. – Law enforcement are searching for a suspect in the Caulfield area following a pursuit of a stolen vehicle.

At approximately 3:33 pm, the Howell County Sheriff’s Office received a call to report stealing at a convenience store in the West Plains area. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the suspect was wanted for a parole violation and was driving a stolen vehicle. The suspect was identified as Adam D. Bartlett Jr, white male, age 32, alias AJ Bartlett. Bartlett has a history of running from police, spending time in jail following a 2015 manhunt in Ozark County.

The West Plains Police Department located the vehicle near State Route 14 and US Highway 63 in West Plains. A pursuit ensued. Deputies pursued the suspect until he crashed the vehicle in the Caulfield area near the intersection of County Road 7830 and US Highway 160. This is the area where Bartlett was last seen.
