With power outages, crashes, damaged homes and vehicles, and boil orders in effect, the winter weather from the last few weeks left its fair share of impact on the people of the Ozarks, but with thawing temperatures starting today, and moving into even warmer highs over the weekend and next week, it looks like the winter weather is behind us for now.
The City of Mansfield has also announced that their boil water advisory has concluded as of yesterday afternoon, this means that most of the marks left by the most recent bouts with winter weather are falling to the wayside.
However, this is all weather in the Ozarks, and as we all know, one week of spring doesn’t necessarily mean we’re out of winter just yet. If you prescribe to the traditional ideas behind Groundhog Day, we may yet just see 6 more weeks of winter.
