Mansfield Man Seriously Injured and Receives Charges After Crashing Into An Embankment

Mansfield, MO. – A man was seriously injured after he crashed into an embankment on July 27, 2024. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash occurred at 1:42 p.m. on Highway EE, 3 miles north of Mansfield. 37-year-old Nicholas Price was driving a 2002 Chevrolet S10 southbound when he traveled off the right side of the roadway. His car was totaled after it struck an embankment head-on. Price was seriously injured and was transported via ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. The report states that Price was not wearing his seat belt during the crash.

Price was found to be intoxicated during the crash, and has received several criminal charges as a result.

This crash was investigated by Corporal J.D. Piccinino and Trooper T.L. Sullivan of Troop G.
