Fort Leonard Wood, MO. – The marine who was reported missing from Fort Leonard Wood in early May was found and arrested in Bourbon, Missouri.
U.S. Marshals and the Bourbon Police Department located Private First Class Kavian Elder on Tuesday night. He is now in the custody of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.

Elder disappeared on May 3. He was reported as missing after he missed the lights out and roll call the next morning. The marines in Fort Leonard Wood launched a nationwide bulletin for his return. The Memphis native’s family searched for him in the Fort Leonard Wood area during the Memorial Day Weekend. The family had believed he was in the area still.
