Ava, MO. – A Mansfield man was killed in an UTV crash Monday morning in Douglas County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred on a private roadway off Highway U, eight miles north of Ava at 2:30 a.m.
A 2021 Polaris RZR driven by Vincent Domrose, 36 of Ozark, ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned. A passenger of the vehicle, Cody Jeffries, age 36 of Marshfield, was injured in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene by the Douglas County Coroner at 5:20 a.m.
UPDATE: Vincent Domrose was arrested for Unlawful Operation of a Utility Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol. He has since been released.
This marks the 10th fatality for MSHP Troop G in 2022, compared to 12 at the same time last year.
