A lucky Missouri Lottery player in Howell County will ring in the New Year as a million-dollar winner. Someone who bought a Mega Millions ticket at Town & Country Supermarket, 719 E. Main St. in Willow Springs, won $1 million in Friday night’s drawing by matching all five white-ball numbers drawn – 3, 7, 37, 49 and 55.
The win marks Missouri’s sixth $1 million winner during the most recent Mega Millions jackpot run, which began on Sept. 10 and concluded with a $1.269 billion jackpot win in the state of California on Dec. 27. The jackpot will reset to $20 million for Tuesday night’s drawing.
Since the jackpot was won, the Mega Millions “Jackpot Reset” promotion has now been activated, giving players in Missouri a free Mega Millions ticket with a qualifying purchase through Jan. 3.
Prizes of more than $600 may be claimed by appointment at any of the Missouri Lottery offices, which are located in Springfield, Jefferson City, Kansas City and St. Louis. Draw Games winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winner has until June 25 to present their $1 million winning ticket.
