EDIT: According to the Douglas County Sheriff: “missing Juvenile has been located safe and unharmed. She was located with her non-custodial parent in Springfield, Missouri.”
West Plains, Mo. – An Ava teen was reported missing on Saturday, January 14, 2023 and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking the community to be on the look out.
Amber C. Townsend is a 14-year old white female standing 5′ 8″ tall and weighing roughly 120 lbs. She has black hair and green eyes. Townsend was last seen at her residence RR 7 Box 7357 in Ava. She was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt, black leggings, and black boots.
Townsend took her dog and did not return home on Saturday. She may be with her biological mother, Trish Adams, in the Springfield, MO area. The biological mother does not have a permanent residence or parental rights.
