| Begin your application for FY2026 Annual Grant projects taking place between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026.
The Missouri Arts Council, a state agency, provides over $8 million a year through grants that meet our strategic goals:
- Engage people in meaningful arts experiences
- Grow Missouri’s economy using the arts
- Strengthen Missouri education through the arts
Funding for the Missouri Arts Council is provided by the Missouri General Assembly through the state’s annual budget bill approved by the Governor, Missouri Cultural Trust, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Who may apply
We fund nonprofit, tax-exempt, Missouri-based organizations to support arts projects in Missouri. We are accepting applications for FY2026 annual funding in these programs and categories:
- Arts Education
- Dance
- Festivals
- Literature
- Media Arts
- Multidiscipline
- Music – Vocal/Presenters
- Visual Arts

Accessing the online grant system

Off-year programs/categories for FY2026 funding
New applicants: If you would like to submit an application for a project in the programs or categories listed below, your Missouri Arts Council funding option is an Express Grant. Applications are accepted on a rolling deadline. Express applications for FY2026, including Arts Education Express, Arts Council Express, Touring Express (both School and Community), and Big Yellow School Bus, will be available in April 2025.

Returning applicants: If your organization received annual FY2025 funding from the programs or categories listed above, you must submit an Off-Year Application to receive FY2026 Missouri Arts Council support.
Deadlines
The draft deadline for annual grants is January 27, 2025, the last Monday in January. Review of your draft by our staff is open to all, and especially recommended if you have never submitted an application before or have received less than satisfactory scores. (Exception: Off-Year Grants) The final deadline for annual grants is February 24, 2025, the last Monday in February.
