Missouri Commission Awards Contracts for Southeast District Roadway Improvements

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has approved multiple contracts to enhance infrastructure across the Southeast District. During its April 2 meeting, the commission awarded contracts for a variety of transportation projects, including pavement resurfacing, bridge replacements, erosion control, and the construction of a new roundabout.

Intersection and Bridge Improvements

  • $3.44 million awarded to Plattin Creek Excavating, LLC for the construction of a roundabout on Route 8 at State Street in St. Francois County.
  • $2.29 million awarded to Penzel Construction Company, Inc. for bridge replacements at the following locations:
    • Route 102 over Black Bayou in Mississippi County
    • Route O over Drainage Ditch 287 in Stoddard County
    • Route E over Little River Ditch 251 in New Madrid County
  • $376,051 awarded to Concrete Strategies, LLC for bridge rehabilitation on Route 67 over the St. Francois River in Wayne County.

Pavement Resurfacing and Repairs

  • $984,000 to N. B. West Contracting Company for resurfacing Route O from Route 61 to Route 32 in Ste. Genevieve County.
  • $789,000 to Pace Construction Company for resurfacing Route 412 from Route VV to Route 84 in Dunklin County.
  • $1.13 million to Apex Paving Company for resurfacing Route BB from Route C to Route M in Stoddard County.
  • $1.48 million to Pace Construction Company for resurfacing Route H from Route U to Route 62 in Scott County.
  • $3.02 million to Apex Paving Company for resurfacing in New Madrid and Mississippi counties, including:
    • Route E from Route 114 to Route D in New Madrid County
    • Routes O, AA, and OO in Mississippi County
    • Route U from County Road 732 to the end of state maintenance in New Madrid County.
  • $938,874 to Apex Paving Company for resurfacing Route M from Route 67 to the end of state maintenance in Butler County.
  • $259,014 to Apex Paving Company for resurfacing Outer Road 67 from Route 67 to the end of state maintenance in Butler County.

Roadway Safety and Infrastructure Repairs

  • $1.07 million to H. R. Quadri Contractors for erosion control repairs at various locations throughout the Southeast District.
  • $417,500 to Apex Paving Company for asphalt pavement repairs on Interstates 55, 57, and 155.
  • $552,500 to Putz Construction, LLC for concrete pavement repairs on Interstates 55, 57, and 155.
  • $599,000 to Putz Construction, LLC for concrete pavement repairs on all major highways in the Southeast District.
  • $990,000 to James H. Drew Corporation for guardrail and guard cable repairs in multiple counties, including Wright, Douglas, Ozark, Texas, Howell, Shannon, Reynolds, Iron, Carter, Oregon, and Ripley.
  • $83,781 to Clarkson Construction for diamond grooving on Route 67 in Madison County.
